Electrolytes 101: My Go-To Picks + DIY Recipe

Hey!

Let’s talk electrolytes—because hydration isn’t just about water. If you’re feeling tired, crampy, headachy, or like your energy is constantly dipping, you might need to up your electrolyte game.

Here are some of the electrolyte supplements I’ve personally tried, used, and approved:

The Healthiest One:
Trace Minerals Concentrace – A mineral-rich concentrate with no sweeteners or fillers. I use this daily. It gives no added taste to the water.

The Best Basic Flavored One:
Redmond Re-Lyte – Great flavors, balanced mineral profile, and clean ingredients.

The Yummiest One (in my opinion):
Goodonya – Organic ingredients and just the right sweetness. A fun one to keep on hand.

The Most Popular One:
LMNT – Very salty and zero sugar. Loved by athletes and wellness pros for good reason.

Want to make your own?
DIY electrolyte drinks are super simple and customizable. Here are two ways to do it:

1. Basic Citrus Electrolyte Water

  • 64 oz water
  • 3–6 pinches of sea salt
  • Juice of ½ a lemon
  • 20 drops of Trace Minerals Concentrace
  • Optional: a splash of maple syrup (especially great post-workout for replenishing glycogen)

2. Coconut Citrus Electrolyte Mix

  • 1 liter coconut water
  • 1 liter filtered water
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp pink salt
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

You don’t have to buy fancy sports drinks packed with sugar and artificial flavors—your body will thank you for this upgrade.

Hey! I’ve been talking to a lot of women in my community lately who are just done with the afternoon crash—so I figured I’d share what actually helped me shift out of that foggy, dragging feeling. I used to think it was just normal to feel wiped out by 3pm. Like clockwork, I’d hit a wall—low energy, brain fog, barely hanging on. Turns out, I wasn’t just tired. I was under-fueled, over-caffeinated, and totally out of sync with what my body needed. Here’s what I changed that made the biggest...

So, your usual tricks to lose weight and feel good aren’t cutting it anymore (or worse… maybe they’re even backfiring). And you’re left thinking… “Why isn’t what used to work in my 20s working now??” Maybe you’ve even started to blame yourself, thinking you’re just not disciplined enough, or that it’s all downhill from here. The frustration spiral is real. I remember the days when cutting back on snacks, doing a few extra workouts, or just skipping dessert for a week would get me back on...

I’m excited to share that I was recently quoted in Parade Magazine! I had the opportunity to contribute insights on how skipping meals can lead to sugar cravings, along with tips on how to manage those cravings through balanced nutrition.
